NEWS

All bands are booked and confirmed. See the schedule for performance times.

Also, don't miss out on The Benefit Show Compilation Disc. That's right! Each band* donated a track from their personal archives so that we could splice it all together; giving you a taste of what the new generation of regional underground music is producing today. This disc will be sold at the show for $7, where all proceeds will be donated to the WHAS Crusade for Children.

* Due to scheduling conflicts, the compilation disc features twelve bands of the fourteen who will perform live on May 11th.

WHY TWO DIFFERENT TIME POSTINGS?

For those who live in Louisville or immediate Southern Indiana, the town of Pekin does not set their clocks forward to Eastern Daylight Time each spring season. So, they are one hour behind. The schedule above reflects performance times for both Louisville and Pekin time zones.

ATTENTION BANDS:

Here are some things regarding the Crusade for Children benefit concert that you should be aware of. With your cooperation, things should run very smoothly at the show:

Set-up and tear down:

The way we had to set it up is that each band gets a half an hour to play the extra 15 minuets is for set up and take down time. The way we have to do it is have each band bring their equipment to the loading dock into the backstage area as set up as it can be (especially the drummer). When the band that is playing is on stage the next band should be behind the curtain finishing up set up of their instruments when the band that is on moves out the band that is coming on simply moves forward (We will use some plywood "sleds" to accomplish this). After you play you immediately must move your equipment out off the stage through the door at the back and back to the loading dock for removal. This means you need to be at the venue with adequate time to move your equipment onto the stage and set it up. You are allowed 3 roadies backstage to help in this procedure. You will be informed when you are on stage when you set is coming to a close. You must exit the stage with your equipment IMMEDIATELY after your set. On another note we are not responsible for lost or stolen equipment.

Speech on stage:

We aren't placing any type of block on cursing or profanity in songs. However, please keep this to a minimum on stage. This means do not use profanity between songs when speaking to the audience. The only reason we ask is because it is a charity event. Your co-operation is appreciated.

Smoking, Drugs, and Alcohol:

There is no somoking at all allowed within the school building if you want to smoke you must leave the building, if you are caught smoking in the bulding you will be escorted outside and not allowed to return. To enforce this we will be placing no smoking signs around the entrance to the bulding. Drugs and Alcohol are not allowed at all on any premise of the school grounds. Anyone caught partaking of drugs or alcohol on school grounds will be escorted off of school grounds by a police officer.

Any other trouble or offenses that we run into:

Anyone who is causing trouble during the concert will be warned. The second time they will be removed. It is important that everyone knows that we must keep things orderly. Moshing is acceptable, it is expected. However, everyone must help keep others from being hurt in the pit. If this does happen then the promoter(s) (myself or anyone on the Pierce Polk Vol. Fire Dept. or Mr. Troy Edlin) reserve the right to stop the show at any time for crowd safety. Anyone caught fighting will be escorted to the door immediately by the fire dept. and then off of the premises by the Police... and charges will be filled against those people.

Bands:

The 14 bands listed on www.crusadeshow.da.ru are the only bands playing this show. Bands must be ready to fill the time slot given to them. If you can't make it then you will be cut. Im sorry but things must be done on schedule and Im not prepared to screw 13 other bands because one band can't be responsible enough to show up on time. Please remember that we are one hour behind Louisville time and that both times are posted on www.crusadeshow.da.ru.

Merchandise:

Please feel free to bring merchandise to the show bands. In order to promote yourself properly to new crowds of people we have set up an area for you to sell merchandise.
